This Privacy Policy explains how Neni ('Neni', 'we', 'us', 'our') collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data when you use the Neni mobile applications and web admin panel (together, the 'Service').
Neni is a platform that allows kindergartens in Uzbekistan to share daily photo, video, audio, and text updates about children with their parents or legal guardians.
The Service is designed for three categories of users:
We take privacy especially seriously because the Service involves data about children, including their photos, videos, voices, and biometric features.
The data controller for personal data processed through Neni is:
For data of children and their parents, the kindergarten that uses Neni acts as a joint controller together with us. The kindergarten is responsible for obtaining consent from parents and for the accuracy of the data it uploads.
If you have questions about this Policy or about how your data is processed, you can contact us at support@neni.uz.

We do not collect precise GPS location, contacts, SMS, or browsing history.
| Purpose | Legal basis |

| Allowing nannies to publish daily updates | Performance of a contract; legitimate interest of the kindergarten |
| Allowing parents to see updates about their child | Performance of a contract; parental consent |
| Processing children's photos, videos, and voice recordings | Explicit consent of the parent or legal guardian |
| AI face recognition of children | Explicit, separate consent of the parent or legal guardian |
| AI transcription of nanny voice recordings | Performance of a contract; legitimate interest |
| Sending push notifications about updates | Consent of the user |
| Securing the Service and preventing abuse | Legitimate interest |
| Complying with legal obligations | Legal obligation under Uzbek law |
A parent may refuse consent to face recognition while still using the rest of the Service. In that case, the child will be tagged manually by the nanny only.
Neni uses AI face recognition to help nannies tag the correct child in photos and videos. This involves processing biometric data, which is treated as sensitive personal data.
Nannies may record short voice notes about a child's day. These recordings are processed in two ways:
The original audio file is:
Voice transcription may be performed by a trusted third-party AI provider acting as our processor (see Section 8). Audio is transmitted over encrypted channels and is not used by the provider to train their models.
We use personal data only for the purposes listed in Section 4. In particular:
We share data only with parties who help us operate the Service. These are our 'processors', and they are bound by written agreements to protect the data.
| Type of processor | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Cloud hosting provider | Storing the database and media files |
| Push notification provider (e.g. Firebase Cloud Messaging) | Delivering notifications |
| SMS gateway | Sending OTP login codes |
| AI face recognition provider | Detecting and matching faces |
| AI speech-to-text provider | Transcribing voice notes |
| Crash reporting and analytics tools | Diagnosing technical issues |
A current list of our processors is available on request from support@neni.uz.
We may also disclose data:
In accordance with Article 27¹ of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Personal Data, personal data of citizens of Uzbekistan is stored on servers located within the Republic of Uzbekistan.
